Anna “Annie” Quinlan is a Licensed Social Worker with a master’s degree from Akron University. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Youngstown State University. Annie will begin seeing clients at The Counseling and Wellness Group as of September, 2025.
Annie’s focus is working with individuals from all backgrounds ranging from adolescence, young adults and adults. Her clinical interests include identity exploration, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
She believes that an important part of healing happens through a safe, and compassionate therapeutic connection. She deeply respects a person’s lived experience therefore strives to create a comforting space where you truly feel heard and accepted. Whether you’re working through past trauma, anxiety, identity questions, or other life stressors, she wants you to feel supported with empathy and curiosity—not judgment.
Her approach to therapy is person-centered and trauma-informed. She blends evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to develop a collaborative and empowering approach to meet you where you are.
When Annie isn’t in the office she enjoys almost any activity outdoors, reading, coffee, cycling, and spending time with family.
