Abra is a Licensed Social Worker and graduate of Case Western Reserve University. She specializes in working with school aged-children, youth and families and comes to The Counseling and Wellness Group from Cleveland Heights school district.
She is well versed in behavioral health presentations within a school setting, special education in schools (including IEPs and 504s), social and emotional learning, and the impact of trauma on child neurodevelopment. Abra is passionate about working with children to overcome emotional and behavioral barriers to achieve positive social, emotional, and academic outcomes. Abra also enjoys working with families to help build stronger connections, develop effective routines, and foster inner resilience. Her therapeutic approach values the importance of teaching self regulation and coping skills for children to learn how to meet life’s challenges, build resiliency, and develop positive attitudes toward themselves and others around them. Abra will begin her EMDR training journey in July, 2026.
Abra enjoys connecting with the environment by going on hikes and exploring nature in her area. She is passionate about the healing powers of nature and animals. She also likes trying different foods, and is always looking for new vegan restaurant recommendations!
Abra is under the clinical supervision of Libby McHugh, LISW-S, LICDC and Vicki Riola, LISW-S.
